10 years ago I painted my first-ever watercolor on this theme; I'd just graduated high school and I was really proud of my picture (it's now an embarassment and I will not display it. Well maybe in scraps.) I've worked about six months on updating it.

This is really great! You created this using some kind of description or just your imaginarion? (I can't recall if there's any description in the books).

VERY beautiful work. I'd say the revisit has payed off. :aww: I know what you man about old works from highschool that you'd love to see burned, buried, and forgotten... But then, I've done recent works that ended up in the same dilemma. lol!

Seriously, I love the attention to the stonework detail on the castle, and that sharp/y contrasting winter frost on the pines. Kinda makes me flash back to the book, "Lion, Witch, and the Wardrobe" a little bit.

Wonderful piece.

And one day I promise I'll scan this thing properly so it's not so small. Thanks for the good words.

Hola Senior Madrid. I have to say that you did really well on this picture. I really like the details in the castle bricks and towers. Keep putting up pictures. I love to see your drawings and paintings.
